1. Believers of religion say that it is the foundation of people’s belief systems. 
- Belief systems are something that affects our everyday lives. They are commonly associated with religions. A religious belief system is usually structured around a moral code, the belief of one or more deities, and the ability for supernatural occurrences to affect us and the universe that we exist in. 

2. Religion can be the very thing that stops a person from aspiring to change the conditions that he or she was born into, believing that a bigger reward awaits in the afterlife. 
- The word “very” has multiple uses. We use very before adverbs and adjectives to add emphasis. It means ‘to a great degree’. However, “very” can also be added before a noun to add emphasis to it. It can be used for emphasizing that something that seems simple or basic can still have an important effect. 

3. In worst cases, religion can result in extremism. 
- The suffix –ism means a belief, attitude, style, etc., that is referred to by a word that uses it as a suffix. - Literally, extremism means driving something to the limit, to the extreme or the quality or state of being extreme, advocacy of extreme measures or views. The term is mostly used in a political or religious sense, for an ideology that is considered (by the speaker or by some implied shared social consensus) to be far outside the acceptable or mainstream attitudes of society.

종교는 세계 어디에서든 가장 오래되고 논란이 많이 되는 주제들 중의 하나이다. 여러 가지 종류의 종교가 있다. 각 종교가 가지고 있는 뚜렷한 성질들에도 불구하고, 모든 종교들은 한가지 공통점을 가지고 있고 그것은 신 또는 신들의 형태의 초자연적인 힘에 대한 복종, 숭배, 그리고 믿음이다.

인류의 지식과 과학의 발견들과 업적들에 대한 지속적인 탐구는 많은 사람들의 종교에 대한 태도를 변화시켰다. 예를 들어, 많은 사람들이 종교에 대해 등을 돌리는 것을 고려하였다. 어떤 사람들은 단순히 고차원적인 힘을 믿지 않는다. 물론 종교를 그들 삶의 중심에 놓는 다른 사람들도 있다.
